Collections
Carnegie-Stout Public Library serves the Dubuque and surrounding communities with a collection of over 180,000 volumes, 400 periodical and newspaper subscriptions, and a wide variety of audio and video materials. Collections of special note are an obituary file dating to the late 1850s and a newspaper index to the Telegraph Herald and other local newspapers.
Special Holdings & Services
Other special holdings include an Iowa and genealogical section. The Youth Services Department places an emphasis on the emerging literacy needs of the youngest children, providing programs and materials for children of all age as well as materials and services to teens.
