Adult Summer Reading 2020: Imagine Your Story

Registration for the Adult Summer Reading Program begins on June 8. The first 250 people who sign up are entitled to a special edition laser-cut bookmark from the Makerspace! Bookmarks are available to pick up at the Recommendations Desk.

Online registration is encouraged and can be done anytime between June 8 and August 7. You may also register, in-person, at the Recommendations Desk. You must be 18 years of age or older with an active library card to sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Program.

The theme this year is “Imagine Your Story” and celebrates storytelling in all forms. The rules of the program are simple. Record every 5 books you read on one of the program’s reading logs. When you register, plan to pick a mythical creature to represent your reading journey—a winged unicorn or a griffin. These two will race to see who can read more books by the end of the program. Every log turned in adds more books to "team unicorn" or "team griffin." The winning fantasy creature will be announced at the end of the program.
