Page to Stage: Jungle Book
Saturday, November 9 | 2:00 p.m.
Ages 3 to 7. Run with the animals of the jungle like Mowgli from The Jungle Book, make animal masks, and play jungle games. This program is part of the Page to Stage collaboration with the University of Dubuque. Participants will receive one free children’s admission to The Jungle Book production on November 17 at the Heritage Center. Registration required. Reading with Rover
November 9 | 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.
Ages 5 to 9. Dogs love stories but can’t read to themselves, so come to the library to read a short book to a dog! A volunteer will also be available to read aloud to younger children and/or children who want to listen to stories while sitting with the pets. Please do not bring your own dog; we will provide kid-friendly dogs each month.
Baby Builders Block Party
November 23 | 10:30 a.m.
Ages 5 and younger. All future builders come play and build at the library! We will have a variety of blocks for all developmental stages of play including LEGO® blocks, Mega Blocks, and cardboard blocks. Block play supports skills for future achievement in science and math. No registration required.
Lollipops & Music for Our Preschoolers Concert Series
November 9 | 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.
The “L. & M. O. P.” concert series is for preschool children and their families. Children will leave each concert with a greater appreciation of music and a lollipop to enjoy! This series is sponsored by the Northeast Iowa School of Music. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.
